Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and manage our virtual environments. This role is critical for optimizing server utilization, enhancing scalability and efficiency, and ensuring the seamless performance and reliability of our IT infrastructure.

• Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement information and computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, and extranets.    
  • Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including capacity needs analysis for network infrastructures.    
  • Design and implement network and computer security measures.    
  • Design, implement, and manage virtual environments using various virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM.    
  • Provision and configure virtual machines (VMs) to ensure optimal performance and scalability.    
  • Implement and manage network virtualization (SDN, NFV) and storage virtualization (SAN, NAS).    
  • Automate routine management tasks for virtual environments using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.    
  • Integrate and manage cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with on-premises virtual environments for hybrid and multi-cloud strategies.    
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimize virtual network configurations.    
  • Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.    
  • Proven work experience of 5+ years in virtualization engineering or system administration.    
  • Deep expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and KVM.    
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and network configuration.    
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).    
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
