Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Migration Specialist to lead our critical initiative in transitioning on-premises server infrastructure, applications, and data to a robust cloud environment. This role is central to our digital transformation and requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and meticulous execution to ensure a seamless, secure, and efficient migration with minimal downtime and optimal post-migration performance.

• Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of current IT infrastructure, including applications, databases, and enterprise data, to identify migration opportunities, dependencies, and potential challenges.  
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive cloud migration strategies, including selecting appropriate "6 R" approaches (rehosting, replatforming, repurchasing, refactoring, retaining, retiring) for various workloads to optimize cost, performance, and business objectives.
  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures precisely tailored to our organizational needs, ensuring adherence to best practices and security policies.
  • Manage end-to-end migration processes, meticulously ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2) throughout the entire transition.
  • Execute actual data transfer and transformation, including data cleansing, standardization, and rigorous validation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement and optimize post-migration cloud environments, continuously monitoring and adjusting for maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation, thorough training, and ongoing support to internal teams for newly migrated cloud-based systems. 
  • Establish robust reconciliation procedures, comprehensive backup plans, and clear rollback strategies for critical data before, during, and after migration.  
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Finance, Operations) and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless coordination and communication throughout the project.  
• Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record of 5+ years of successful hands-on experience leading and executing complex cloud migration projects, with a strong preference for experience across major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). 
  • Strong and demonstrable understanding of core cloud architectural principles, various cloud services, and cloud security best practices. 
  • Possession of relevant industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies is highly desirable.
