Business Overview:

We are a growing web application company. Our current backend is a single server that is becoming increasingly expensive to scale. We want to move to a serverless architecture to reduce our costs and improve scalability.

The Challenge:

Our current backend is a major operational bottleneck. It is not scalable, and we are paying for resources that are not used during off-peak hours. We need to move to a serverless architecture to improve our cost-efficiency and handle unpredictable traffic spikes.

Problems Caused:

The single-server backend creates a single point of failure and is not cost-effective. It also limits our ability to scale quickly in response to user demand, which negatively impacts our user experience and business growth.

Proposed Method:

We need a senior cloud architect to design and implement a new serverless backend. The project will involve:

Analysis: Decomposing our existing backend into a set of serverless functions.
Design: Architecting the new serverless backend using services like AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
Implementation: Building and deploying the new serverless backend.
Migration: Migrating our existing data and traffic to the new backend with minimal downtime.

Required Experience:

At least 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture or backend development. The freelancer must have extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing production-level serverless applications.

Deep expertise in serverless architecture and services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
Strong knowledge of cloud-native development practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for serverless applications.
Proficiency in a programming language suitable for serverless functions (e.g., Node.js, Python).
