The Business Challenge:

Our business is at a critical juncture, with vast amounts of data siloed across various sources. This fragmentation is creating slow, inconsistent reporting and preventing us from gaining the actionable, real-time insights we need to drive strategic decisions. We require a unified, scalable, and cost-efficient data platform that can serve as a single source of truth, but we lack the internal expertise to design and build it.

The Project Goal:

We are seeking a seasoned Cloud Data Analytics Platform Architect to design, build, and optimize a robust data analytics platform on a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The successful candidate will create an end-to-end solution, from data ingestion to visualization, that empowers our teams with fast, reliable, and secure access to business intelligence. This project's success will be measured by its ability to unlock data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Architectural Design: Design a modern, scalable, and cost-effective cloud data platform, including the selection of core technologies (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3, ADLS).
• Data Pipeline Development: Implement resilient and fault-tolerant data pipelines to ingest structured and unstructured data from various sources (APIs, databases, logs) into the data lake/warehouse.
• ETL/ELT Framework: Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using cloud-native tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow/Dataproc) to transform raw data into a clean, analytics-ready format.
• Data Modeling & Warehousing: Establish a robust data warehousing schema and implement best practices for data modeling to ensure optimal query performance.
• Business Intelligence Integration: Integrate the platform with our business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and create initial dashboard templates.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Provide comprehensive documentation and conduct a knowledge transfer session to enable our internal teams to manage and expand the platform effectively.
