Project Overview:

We are seeking a consultant to audit and optimize our cloud infrastructure using cloud-native best practices. The goal is to improve performance, enhance scalability, and reduce unnecessary costs on our AWS environment.

Business Problem:

Our cloud bills are increasing without a proportional increase in performance or efficiency. We are not fully leveraging managed services or automated scaling, leading to wasted resources and potential downtime.

Business Path After Completion:

We will have a more efficient and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. Our systems will be more resilient, scalable, and manageable. The reduction in cloud spend will allow us to reinvest in other areas of the business.

Freelancer Responsibilities:

• Conduct a full audit of our AWS services and usage.
• Propose and implement optimizations using serverless technologies (Lambda), managed databases (RDS), and auto-scaling groups.
• Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting for resource utilization.
• Identify and correct misconfigurations that lead to security or performance issues.
• Document the new cloud architecture and optimization strategy.

Required Expertise:

• Extensive experience with AWS services and architecture.
• Knowledge of serverless computing (Lambda) and managed services (RDS, SQS).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong understanding of cloud cost optimization techniques.
