Intrusion Detection Specialist (Intrusion Detection Systems)

We are seeking an Intrusion Detection Specialist to enhance network security through the deployment and management of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). The candidate will monitor traffic for suspicious activity, develop detection rules, and collaborate with the security team to respond to alerts. Proficiency in tools like Snort, Suricata, and Splunk is required, along with the ability to analyze threats and report on incidents.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and manage IDS tools to monitor for security threats.
• Analyze IDS logs and respond to suspicious activity.
• Develop and customize detection rules for better threat detection.
• Collaborate with IT teams on incident response.
• Document IDS configurations and threat response procedures.

Qualifications:

• Experience with Snort, Suricata, or Splunk for intrusion detection.
• Strong analytical and incident response skills.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security monitoring.
• Certifications like CEH or CISSP are preferred.
